This short film was a dream made into reality by a fantastic writer whose vision truly shines through. Our aim was to portray the struggle we all face with trauma and to illustrate how time, along with the support of good friends, can help heal our emotional wounds.
We use sunburn as a poignant metaphor for trauma; just as we can't simply put a plaster on a sunburn in hopes it will vanish, we must recognise that trauma requires time to mend. It also necessitates help and support from those around us, who can provide comfort and understanding.
Through this short, sweet film, we aspire to convey this vital message and encourage viewers to seek healing together. We believe that sharing these experiences can foster a sense of community and connection, reminding us that none of us are alone in our struggles. The journey of healing is often fraught with challenges, but with patience and the right support, it is possible to emerge stronger. This film serves as a gentle reminder that while wounds may take time to heal, the bonds we form with others can significantly lighten the load we carry.
